A pretty bright blue marble
Nestled in nothing space
Swirled clouds floating
On the unscarred surface

A great brown-burnt country
Luscious curves of land
Or flat and hard, so harsh
Barely spoiled by man

A spreadeagled, bustling city
Smoky towers and car-ants
Hurrying to and fro and to
Loud noises- CRASH! BANG! BAM!

A house in bumbling concrete burbs
Bickering family and little joys
Friction, love, dillemmas
Crackling TV and careless voices

But from a distance we are beautiful
A speck on a fleck on a grain on a
Simple blue nothing.

~What if you slept? What if, in your sleep, you dreamed? And in your dream, you went to heaven and there plucked a strange and beautiful flower? And what if, when you awoke, you had that flower in your hand? Aye, what then?~
