Deep Winter Soft silence in new snow on deep winter hillsides of gray, bare stands of oak with hickory mingling into shadows blown to windfall a leftover canopy of broken limbs tangled into undergrowth fodder as memories fade becoming tomorrow with life going on not so much from letting go… or falling down but hanging on and growing up. I have "played" with this poem for two months.....I am sick of it!!!!! LOL I just added the last lines and have to walk away from this one for awhile! Thanks Nan.... |

I guess all that hard work paid of rather well there Good job after all The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

Robert, goodness, have you been cooped up too long? What is it about this you don't like? I think you've described it very well! The quietness when there is new fallen snow.
