You called my name and that´s how I came
I felt the carving of my being in your heart
where it said that we will never be too far apart for I will always remember you by heart.

I listen but I donnot care what people say
If it is their desire to judge me, then they may
They can accuse me for not doing what I´ve been told
But they donnot know nor have the power
against the truth that I hold
I refused to be changed by those who had not
             set me free
For I wish to tell them that hey,
it is God who created me.

Only I can know what is best for me
and only I can want where I wanna be
for it is only I -equipped for my own destiny.
I donnot chose the people who wish
to walk with me in this journey
For I have found the faith to believe
that God has sent them to me

So as you knocked in my door
I saw innocence, simplicity and purity
that must be cherished and not ignored
For I can see the beauty of all creation
and because I see, it is in my nature to give you
     my loving attention

Our paths were brought together for a reason
      I may never know
Maybe it holds a lesson, just by watching you grow
Growing is about the experiences we´ve encountered
in our lives and the knowledges we´ve earned
through the mistakes we have learned

For a man who keeps repeating his mistakes
      hasn´t grown
For he has yet learned the things
      he have already known

These are the things you must find
But careful, you must not walk blind
I will hand you what you need
for I refuse to be the one to show you
      how a heart can bleed
But oh the world would love to show it to you indeed

For I heard you are a troubled child
but no one can blame you for the world itself
      is so wild
and no one can accuse you of doing something wrong
For we are all are trying to find
    our place to belong

We can only teach and tell you what we know
But we donnot know what is right
that´s the greatest mystery of this flight

I believe your heart is better than mine
for mine has darkened through the experiences
         I´ve made happened
And I don´t think you´re too young for me
for I donnot see myself greater than you
          nor you to me
But I do believe you must be set free
for there are still a lot of things you need to see
that you will not find in me

I´ll be your friend
your needs I will attend
through worlds without end

Nice poem. But it doesn't really belong in the "Publishing Tips" forum, so I'm moving it to Open Poetry. Also, it's not necessary to split longer poems into multiple posts, so I'm consolidating all three of your posts into one.

Welcome to Passion, by the way!

This kinda reminds me of the saying "If you love someone set them free,if they don`t come back,Hunt them down and shoot them."
Did I get that one right?lol..just kiddin.

On a real note:
I can relate to this oh so well.
Nice job cK

I liked this poem when I first saw it, and didn't get to comment at that time - Since then, I noticed you hailing us from Finland...

I'd like to personally welcome you... Your poetry is very enjoyable... and your heritage holds a very near and dear place in my "Tuominen" heart...
