Love's Embrace

Sparks between
The lovers fly
Lightning flashes
Through the sky

Silence shattered
With thunder's roar
He loves her
Like never before

Needing her close
Pulling her near
Tender kisses
To quell her fear

He lays her back
Upon the ground
Their sighs lost
In nature's sound

Tempest swells
In swirling skies
They find themselves
In each other's eyes

Passion spent
They lay undressed
Murmuring softly
With each caress

Drowning in
Each other's gaze
Lovers swathed
In evening haze

Night falls
As storm rages on
In love's embrace
They await the dawn

Your not so subtle nuances make this poem a very pleasurable read, indeed... Nicely done, Tara...

Tara,
(sigh) What I wouldn't give to be held in that kind of embrace! Beautiful; I especially like the metaphor of the storm describing the escalating passion between the lovers.

I definitely agree with the above comments. You used just the right touch of sensuality and feeling into this one to make it alive. Very nice work.

I'm blushing guys!  Thank you for the overwhelming response.

Balladeer and Nan, glad to know I didn't cross over the line.  I didn't want this one in Adult.

Very well done, Tara
