As the fire fades
the shadows struggle to cloak the room
remaining golden fingers stretch tentatively
to caress the sleeping woman
through the open window
a frigid breeze disturbs the curtains
and the moonlight seizes it's opportunity
to join the firelights embrace
dancing across her skin in brilliant color...

Oblivious
she sleeps on
fast within her dream
locked in her own intimate dance
within the arms of her dream lover..

Like a wonderous mystery
he slips in like a tantalizing phantom
capturing her every night
twirling her endlessly under the stars
his face unknown
his name unspoken...

the cool night air ruffles her sheets
icey bumps rising from her flesh
as she shifts
sheets sliding down her arms
fingertips soft
and he gently removes her strap
replacing it with a kiss
drawing her near
tasting of her
pressed against him
breathless
she feels his need...

desire sighs echo
she pulls him closer
taking her pillow in her arms
molding herself to his strength
blankets sliding between velvet perfection
entangling her
arching
murmuring
she moans softly...

winters grasp invading
as icey fingers slide along her face
she trembles when he kisses her
sliding a velvet rose into her hair
warmth caresses her ear... "Tomorrow... my love"

reaching for him
her fingers grasping only his memory
whispers fading as she awakes...

sighing
she stares out into the night sky
with half lidded eyes
Brushing at something upon her cheek
she sends it into flight
her eyes closing
to a dreamless sleep

as a tiny red petal glides quietly to the floor...

This is so lovely!
Like a novel you hate to put down
and wish would continue
until the next dream.
Touched my senses, thanks!
