               Getting Over You

           Staring into empty spaces
              feeling so blue
                 days after losing you

           Lost in these daydreams
              voices of past
                plans I thought would last

            Nights that seem unending
               restless, tossing, turning
                  haunted by constant yearning

            Sitting in a lonely room
                thoughts of happiness we knew
before having to get over you

            Where do wounded hearts go
                 to recover from the pain
                    come in from endless rain

            In a world without you
and the love that was there
is there another someday to care

Days to night, nights to day
                  when will hurting be through
wanting soon, to be getting over you.

Danny...this is hauntingly sad. You write far too little you know that don't you? Nice job with this.

Danny, this poem just works. It reads like a soft, slow song. Verrry nice.

Danny, your poem is just lovely...I've just recently went through the same thing...but my problem was the same as yours...don't keep remembering ONLY the good times...remember the bad as well- then it's a little easier to understand why things didn't work...although it doesn't stop the pain...(sending you a hug to help you through!)

Hang in there m'friend...you obviously deserve better!!!

Danny-
This is really sentimental.
I very much like the way you
laid it out.
Hugs to you, my friend.

Danny,
Very nice. Would like to know the story behind this one.  It's so sad, but I'm sure it had a happy ending.
