The beauty you portray

Silent space filled with resonance
I reach for your hand "Do you want to dance?"
I've been watching you from across the empty room
People dancing I don't perceive
You stole my heart, you gentle thief
The beauty you portray
Leaves me with speechless words to say

You wear your soul there in your smile
Perhaps I induce you to sway for a while
Sphere like echoes the sound of waltz and swing
I raise my voice like a tenor I will sing
The beauty you portray
Leaves me with speechless words to say

Your hand so small so tender
Your eyes look into my soul, I do surrender
Your aura surrounds my mind
A fly within your web unwind
Such beauty you portray
Leaves me with speechless words to say

You contact my skin without a touch
The dimmed lights emphasize your smile so much
You wear your heart within your smile
All I can do is glare at you and sigh
Such beauty you portray
Leaves me with speechless words to say

Can't move my eyes to look away
Can't open my lips to say
The sound ebbs away, silence fills this empty chamber
We dance on, forever, I will remember
You beauty shines so bright and gay
You leave me with speechless words to say

My Lady, please don't ever walk away

Wonderful Poem, HelmutB,

To be witness to such a beauty is a very special feeling I can relate to well.  You want it to last for ever.  I hope it does for you.

Your poetry is a beauty all it's own dear man...I think your heart hangs heavily within this one...

Helmut:
This is really a very beautiful poem.  It does pull at the heartstrings and bring back a number of memories from high school 'sock hops'.
Thank you for the memories.

Beautiful, Helmut.  I especially loved the line: "You contact my skin without a touch". I know the feeling.

Thank you. Beauty is not always portrayed on the outside, the beauty I see is always inside. And every time I see, I feel.

Devina
Lovely, yes your right it does. Thank you dearest

Evad
Thank you. I’m glad you found memories with it. Memories are certainly there within.

Helmut-
How romantic ... *sighing here*
Now the special part ... I found
a poem ... within your poem.
That is like receiving an extra hug !
I found more !  Can you tell that I
like this poem?

'Silent space filled with resonance,
you wear your soul there in your smile.
Your hand so small so tender,
you contact my skin without a touch.
Can't open my lips to say,
My Lady, please don't ever walk away.'

What a treasure-trove.

"Your aura surrounds my mind" To have someone touch you in this way is the ultimate "I love you" the blending of two souls.
Thankyou HelmutB beautifully written!
