“Learn to See” So many people passing by- How sad, they never see: The beauty all around them.. And the heavens’ tapestry. The grace of deer when feeding In a copse out in the wild. Or the rainbow’s beauty fleeting... And it’s pastel hues so mild. They don’t see the lofty grandeur Of the Colorado peaks... Not the sparkling brook so pretty- As the sea it’s water seeks. Oh, they take it all for granted- I am glad I learned to see... Before the hand of fate reached down And robbed the gift from me. Have you ever watched the snowflakes As they softly danced and whirled? Or a newly hatched young butterfly- As new wings were unfurled? Have you looked across the table- At your husband or your wife... And paused to breathe a prayer of thanks, For what you have in life? So while you have the time, my friend- Please take a tip from me.... And learn to do much more than...Look- You’d better learn to...See. I'm sure you've opened eyes all around passions with this one GS, as always- a wonderful read!!! I can picture it in my mind right now...and it's almost spring!!!! Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

Nice job Gun. It`s to bad that the many of us are in such a rush to get from here to there, that we don`t stop and take time to look around, and see the beauty that God has put on this Beautiful home of our`s. Im sure this poem will come to mind on my next long drive. Thank`s G.S. Today is the first day of the rest of my life. |
