(I wrote this poem a long time ago, but it seemed appropriate for this time of year)

It’s high time
that the sky is pink
and the stars
stay out all day.

It’s high time
we say hello
and smile into eyes
that warm the front yards
of each others hearts.

It’s high time
that you’re glad to know me
and I, knowing nothing
of you,
just know
all I need to know.

It’s high time
that without roses
I sense something that is
beautiful and delicate,
the petals not turning brown
to my touch.

It's high time
pollywogs
moonbeams
pusywillow
that are not there
yet, are somewhere
giving the impression
of perhaps in spring.

It’s high time
that politics and oceans
and other vast
deep and
who knows what it's all about
things
turn upside down and show
there other sides.

It’s high time
that all the paperback
books in the world
turned themselves
into human tears
or maybe laughter
and perhaps even love.

It’s high time
to sing a song
about a we
a thee and a me
in a crazy world
full of ever growing sweet peas

It’s high time
that you and I
be us
and create a heaven
full of chocolate
molasses
and the moon
and much more care of small smiles.

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.
(ee cummings)

Oh Martie,

I don't know how you do it... But you've done it again. As I was reading the radio played in one of the children's back rooms. It was playing "Love Is A Rose." It certianly is a time to be living. Warm Warm (((Hugs)))

Well yes I take that chocolate there
A very fine poem Martie, and it contains so much sweets and sweetness it's dripping
Did I tell you I love chocolate
It's high time you and I get together  , about the chocolate that is

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Martie-
If this poem said nothing more than-

'smile into eyes
that warm the front yards
of each others hearts'-

it would have said it all.

Beautiful, my friend.  Beautiful.

Loved it Martie

 Did Jesus laugh?
I think He did,
'cause He was once
a little kid;
and all of us
were made with joy
both sugar-spice girl
and snake-snail boy!
