With a sigh
we make the parting words our own
eyes locked, hearts torn,souls crying,
Our hands dance against each other
as if somehow, by touching
we can hold onto it, save it,keep it

But as your voice
caresses me for the last time,
I realise we are memory,
and the glory that was our love
shall leave no lasting monument
to its passing.

Still we speak, our words falling
like rain around us
gathering in crystal pools at our feet
glittering with reflections of you and me.

The dance of our hands ends
their quiet symphony slowing
giving way to stillness
upon each other's faces.

The storm of our words
drifts away
there's nothing left to say
and the stillness is complete.

As I watch you walk away
our parting words spoken
and flowing to the gutters
at my feet
I know now
I want no one anymore.

Welcome to the family...and remember to keep faith..."no one" might turn into "someone" someday!!!

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...

This is both very sad and beautiful.
"Better to have loved and lost,
than to have never loved at all"
or something like that.
You WILL find love again and you
will learn form this, your past experience.
Keep on writing, time and writing can heal
ANYTHING oh of course if you have
Jesus in you !!

Welcome! Glad to see you made it! Very haunting poem you've entered with...but very good...(don't listen to Mistikman!) I look forward to reading more from you.

Welcome to Passions, just dont feed mistikman, everyone else is ok.

 Did Jesus laugh?
I think He did,
'cause He was once
a little kid;
and all of us
were made with joy
both sugar-spice girl
and snake-snail boy!

Oh wow...I think I just read the poem I've been trying to write.  Guess I'll give it up now, you said it all for me.  PERFECTLY.

This is lovely...you've created such a stirring scene with this piece...sensual, tactile, aching. Welcome, and thanks for sharing this one here.
