If thou hast wandered ever so far
To make thee thy bride with unseen scar
I beg thee forgive my weeping heart,
For how could thou know this cursed fate?
Oh, wandering warrior, I fear 'tis too late.

My man of arms...Oh, how quickly we fade
Unto the dawn of departed day.
I beg thee, forgive thy weeping heart.
I am not worthy, yet less I am fair
To be forsaken in thy charming care.

Withering soul of depleated lust burn,
Burn whispering fire, feel sovereign spurn.
I beg thee, forgive thy weeping heart.
Thou hast awakened to encroachment, disbelief.
Though within this, my dearest, sweet relief.

For low, thy heart unworthy of true love.
Scorned nevermore.  Take thee to heaven above.

I beg thee, forgive...

Thank you all for the encouraging replies.  I won't tell you how long this poem took to write...LOL.  (not very) Perhaps I should spend more time on my poetry.  One could end up with a masterpiece!!
Again, my thanks.

I love the imagery and format... Makes me feel like I'm reading a old-time, "forbidden" diary entry
