I have strived through
The marches,the stress
And the strain. I have
Seen many deaths, and felt
Their gruesome pain. Like a
Colony of tiny ants, we walked on and on.  We had no one to talk to, our family was gone. There Was nothing to drink,no food to eat. People were Stumbling every- where, their legs were brittle and Weak. Now I sit and ponder, a dirty leather Shoe... That once was placed upon the foot of a helpless, innocent Jew.

This is a poignant piece.

Interesting point of view--I never would of thought of it myself...and you told it so wonderfully.

Excellent poem. Welcome to Passions

We can only hope that the world learned from the holocaust and that such atrocities will never happen again, of course, they kinda did in Kosovo, *sigh* when will the world learn.....

I am not a poet, I am merely one who speaks in emotion

Jason, such emotion, I enjoyed this, yet it tears at my heart!

Just be glad I'm not your child! *evil grin*
