14,000 THINGS TO BE HAPPY ABOUT (#43)

The topic for the day is "Italian Cheese Toast."  How did I let myself in for *that*?  Well, think about how *you'd* do a poem on that subject, and then read my approach.  No response is necessary . . . in fact, I'm probably better off if you don't.

            ITALIAN CHEESE TOAST

Here's to the goats and cows of Tuscany and Lombardy,
And to the dairy products which they plentifully supply us.
Particularly the solidified curd -- let's drink to that!

(And I hide rapidly.)

Italian cheese toast, ummm sounds good,
Oh 'scuse me please,(I'm drooling).
I thought all cheese came from the store?
(Who do I think I'm fooling?)

Imagine asking for cheese toast
And the waiter used these words.
"What kind of bread will you have
With your solidified curds?"   LOL   Bev

This Reynolds dude named Ted ate food
Italian cheese and toast
Along came a poet
And said "Don'cha know it -
Brings laughter with every post!"
