WATCHING YOU

Late at night when alone
do you feel his eyes on you
you don't know why or who
but you know he's there
watching you

All alone in the dark as you begin to scare
you tell your self you are alone
but still you know he's there
watching you

Fear not,
For it's he who in the mainger lay
understand there's no need to be afraid
for God is there through and through
always there
watching you

Alina-
Beautiful thought.
He's always there day or night,
I reach for his comfort eyes.
Thanks for sharing this.

Alina, what a neat piece! Your first two stanzas had me thinking this was a "chiller" but the third was both a surprise and a delight. Loved this!

At first I thought you were talking about a stalker! Great ending with a great message!

Here's another one with a nice twist. I thought it was about a stalker too. Good one, Alina.

I want to thank you all once again for all the wonderful comments.
You know I never really noticed the "twist" in this poem until a friend and a teacher mentioned how strong it was.....and now it seems as though that's the first thing everyone notices.

thanks again

So lovely and so true Alina.  I have been through some very hard situations in my life but I have never been alone.  In my darkest moments when no one else seemed to care about me or my situation Jesus was always there and he put his arms around me and loved me and cared for me like no one else could.  I feel his love and his mercy and his compassion and I know I am never alone.  James
