Mother

Do you remember being a little girl, when mommy loved you unconditionally?
When she though you were perfect, and always had time for you.
Do you remember when things changed?
Or when she began to expect so much from you?
What went wrong for her to turn her back to you?
Why she is no longer proud of you?
Are you that unworthy?
What happened to that unconditional love?
Why does she judge you so?
Is she so perfect?
Does she not make mistakes?
Is it that you don’t live up to her expectations?
Are you not worthy of her love and support?
Have you not been a good daughter, did you not love her enough?
Unfortunately this still remains a mystery!

This is so sad, were you perhaps the daughter? I think poetry helps to cleanse the spirit of heartache. I hope it does for you.
Well written

this is better known as the "generation gap"...don't despair, every teenage has gone through this stage before...sometimes,i feel they don't understand me at all......
but despite our differences,i'm sure they will be proud of me when i achieve....and i'm sure your parents are the same too...

Nice try----you have written a very good poem which every teenager can identify with...isn't that something every aspiring poet want to achieve??
