The worst injustice ever seen--
destruction of a young man's dream...
Embryonic, child, he clings...
Seeking safety,
shelter being,
looking without ever seeing.
Withered vine,
anguished child,
he clings...

Lost in madness
cloaked in sadness--
he is exactly as he seems.
Without a word,
he will be heard--
such sorrow in a madman's screams.

This is excellent ...but I'm sorry to
say that I'm afraid to hazard a guess to the inspiration of this poem
perhaps you've visited an asylum of the ill
or perhaps you're a teacher ...?

My signicant other would say that I teach in an asylum of the ill...but no, it's okay to ask, this is a memorial to my dear friend Kenny, and I fear we all failed him miserably.

Serenity-
WOW !
What powerful, and yet helpless words.
A statement of truth made when the dreams
of some are squelched.

Sometimes the society needs a reminder
of the significance of a man's dreams
that are not brought to fruition ... this does that.

A wonderful piece.

So sad, and so strong!

You did the best you could.  Some people cannot be saved.  I know. Thankfully, God can, and does, I believe.  We just won't see it, for those we love, while we are here on earth.  We just have to wait, and have faith.

Thanks to all.  Sorry for all the gloom & doom lately.  I'm especially grateful for all of the wonderful wit I have found here, thanks again.
