Seeking: Phenomenal Man

I’m a phenomenal woman
In search of a phenomenal man.
Do you have what it takes?
Catch my heart if you can.

I want a man who can bathe the kids
And then tuck them into bed.
Someone who’ll take care of me
When I need to rest my weary head.

He has to be willing to do his share,
Without me having to ask.
I want a full time partner in life,
Who’ll help with any task.

Be strong enough to carry me
Those times when I am weak.
Two broad shoulders to cry on
When it’s comfort that I seek.

Give me shelter in your arms
When the world’s just too much.
Together, in the dark of night,
I want fire in your touch.

A man who commands respect
From all those that he meets.
Who treats others with dignity,
In the office or in the streets.

I want a man who honors his word
And would never break a vow.
If this is you, my heart is yours,
I’ll give it to you now.

 It matters not how strait the gate;
How charged with punishments the scroll;
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
--W.E. Henley

I wish I could say that I've been hiding him from you, but alas,  I'm afraid you'll have to take a number...cute tho, and beautifully expressed.

In search of Mr. Perfect. If he's out there let me know!

Which way is right for you,
Stop and softly ask yourself,

Good one! But what's perfect for someone else may not be perfect for me! Hmm..what is the perfect man?

What is perfect?  Few guests to fantasy island ever were satisfied by dreams come true... LOL

Very nicely expressed poem of desire though Tara...

Hey, I'm perfect. Perfectly available.

Tara:

I will show you other worlds.
I will take you to the moon and stars,
To places yet revealed.
Then, like the snow on a still Winter’s night,
I will lightly, bring you back down,
Softly, gently; caressed
In my safe embrace.

------
Well, I can dream, can't I?

I think there are a few who could live up to your expectations. I have personally never met one that would do all this, but my experience is limited, so search on! He will be very lucky to find you. Excellent poem.

Wonderful hopes, Tara! But alas, I am afraid most men are as flawed as most women are!

Serenity, Septsong, WhtDove, Elizabeth, Ruth:  Yes, he's out there somewhere, the fun is in the journey!

Devina, if he has a brother, we'll double date!

Denise, speak for yourself, I'm perfect (uh, did anybody buy that?).

Gene, you paint a dream with your words.  Lovely!

Nathan, LR, PDV and Sy: thank you for reading!

Rex, I think Tim Allen is adorable!
