   The lost thought

It was so quiet
creeping out from the disorder
into the back row
to wait a turn.
It went unnoticed
until I felt
the warm spot in the place
where it had been.

I listened,
hoping that an echo
lingered in the crowded hall
caught between the lines
borrowing time from some importance,
but it was to late.

Martie-
Oh, can I ever identify with this.
When that little thought has taken flight ...
I always hope for it to return.
Alas, it often doesn't.

Simply put, you're a magnificient poet !

I like how you explained this. I agree with Marge. Often it doesn't return!
