This  Is  Love
~ Marge Tindal~

The greatest love of all,
The sweetest words I hear.
The sound of little -I Love You's-
Tenderly falling on my ear.

Heart filled to overflowing,
Head with thoughts so clear.
Healthy hearts together,
Having a time so dear.

Is this what they call love?
It must be what they talk about.
In the still of the night,
In the moment of a shout.

Sweet breaths of sighs unending.
Songs sung into the night.
Softly hummed caresses,
So reassuring, so right.

I've only just begun
I've only started the test.
I've already convinced myself.
I have got the best.

Sing with me if you're happy.
Stay close to my side.
Stand just close enough
So we are filled with pride.

Love me when you will.
Like me after that.
Lasting thoughts of you
Laughing at the drop of a hat.

Of quiet moments
On memories etched
Only the time is not long enough,
One more day is stretched.

Vivid color of your eyes.
Vast depth to be seen.
Victoriously claiming the prize
Very dear to me.

Easy the memories come
Easier in the making.
Easily stored away,
Especially when awakening.

Being anacrostically impaired (not even sure I can spell it right), I envy those who can do these things.
Seriously, enjoyed your poem very much.  Well done.

Those stored away memories of children are some of the best we have and the ones we most often bring out and polish.
Very creative!
