I held a dream
in the palm of my hand.
I held it too tight.
It turned into sand.

All I had left
was the sand and the sweat,
that slipped through my fingers,
leaving only regrets.

How did you know the story of my life?
Short, sweet and to the point.  Great job.

Serenity, this is a really great poem. So many here can relate. By the way, short and to the point works for me! -SEA
