The Bridge

There arises a bridge
o'er the wildest of streams.
A crossing, a portal,
a footpath to dreams.

Sweet steps falling gingerly,
this new bridge drawing nigh,
coming closer, now crossing,
tread steady, stay dry.

Life's journey, a challenge
you will Passionately meet,
as our blessings and hearts
form the bridge 'neath your feet.

Godspeed and gentle crossings to you, Echo.

Dear LadyClaire

Beautiful poem for a beautiful person Claire

 Have you ever noticed
That the words...
"Goodbye"
"I'm sorry"
"I love you"
Are so easy to pronounce
...Yet so hard to say

I don't think I know anything about the person this poem was written for, but you always write so well, and I often wipe my eyes after indulging in a few of your rhymes, especially with this one. Excellent poem.
