The tears flow down my face
They run continuously
Competing in a race
One that just cannot be won

The pain strikes me
Like a knife in the back
This just cannot be
I cannot believe the fact

I cant pinpoint the feeling
I feel I cannot win
I cannot go on beleiving
That happiness will begin

My heart is torn
My soul is shattered
My body feels outworn
From when it all mattered

The pain has now gone
It has been removed
A light has been shone
And the existence of true love to me
To I have been proved

He wiped away the tears
Brought a smile to my face
Erased all of my fears,
Never could he be replaced.

The strength of our love
Is unpredictable
Just to see a smile on his face
Is a feeling that is indescribable

The laughter, the tears,
And the smiles
Has the strength
To stretch itself across the miles.

ViXeN ... I keep thinking Reindeer ... I
really like this name you've chose
and you poem is so true
It happened to me the same way
Once I met my true love ... I could no longer
bring even a vague picture of my first love
to mind
~^~^~^~

Vixen (Sher)

Maybe the answer to the poem, to the replies, and to all the poems is simple.  Maybe there is no true love.  People become too transvixed on finding the one perfect love that may not even really exist... what if true love is only the love one has for themselves... and they only feel that love once they love themselves, and maybe for them it takes another person to realize their love for themself and to not hate so much anymore.... you should NEVER forget your first love because it is that love in which you use to base all your other loves... but remember there is NO perfect love

jone - *johnathan* hehe
i have to say i disagree, and i think and truely believe that there is such thing as perfect love, and i dont think i could ever forget my "first love" if i tried.
i think one days your view on perfect love will change and you will believe in it too =)
i know i do!

and hoot - yes love can bridge all distances, i found that out =) !!!!!

Jone...No perfect love you say....come now...you just haven't looked hard enough....because if that were true then this feeling in my heart would be a lie...I've known a few women i loved...and none have made my heart skip when i glance at them or catch a glint of sun in there eyes like my wife....truly my heart is ever warm from the most perfect love...which is "true love"...that i feel..

sorry, vixen to reply to someone elses reply..hehe..that's a mouth full....

Vixen...this was lovely...When one finds true love..a comparison is not needed...For the heart knows...
