Sing sweet to me your lover's song
Hold close my heart however long
It takes to prove I'm safe, my love
And carry me to stars above.

The universe you give to me
Your words assure you'll always be
Beside me here through thick and thin
At last I'm ready, let's begin.

The day has come to say 'I do'
To vow our love 'till time is through.

Although it's been 28 years, your poem made me think of that special day so long ago. And through those years, your words would still apply.   Much happiness always
