On Spider's Webs

On sunlit afternoons
when my mellow mood
envelopes me
lifting my spirits
on floating spider's webs
freeing me from life
like a balloonist
tossing ballast
for an altitude high
to look at things
from a superior perspective

Robert,
Ballooninst flies
high in sky overhead
Lofty perceptions below
tethered to the earth by
floating spiders webs One
moment of lofty heights
and then time to make
the slow decent into
the world of
realism
again

I
like your
style, my
friend
~Marge~

Your mellow mood was very well expressed here, Robert. Simple, eloquent, beautiful.

I will have to defer to you to tell me about the beauty on high...I am terrified of high places!!!!  Your lovely poem is as close as I want to get!

Hello Robert

Thankyou for for the
invite ... this mile
high ride in your
balloon is far beyond
the expectations of this
lowly fish. Wow ... and
your poem is good too!

Thanks ... Rex

Thanks guys and gals!!!

OK Denise!!

Welcome Rex!!!!

Ms. Devine.....you should see what I do for a living!!!! (if you are scared of heights that is)

Elizabeth, let's go!

Marge what an exclamation you make!Safwan....here in the midwest on October afternoons a certain type of spider lets out a single strand of web that the wind will carry him to wherever he wishes.
