SEASON'S PASSING

I think of you as days go by
When nothing clouds the endless skies

When Winter's long hard curse on things
Turns unexpectedly into Spring

When Summer's here and then it's gone
And Autumn spreads its silent song

It's times like these, in quiet memories
Of a blowing breeze
I think of you ......

Welcome!  This is a lovely writing, leaving me with the aftertaste of true peacefulness.  You're going to love this place!

Sherry,
Thanks for your support - this was my very first attempt at writing poetry - it was written for my first love who was killed in an automobile accident aged 16yrs... that was 23yrs ago now, but still he is with me in my heart.. Thanks again, I am enjoying reading your poetry too   )) Roniece

Welcome, Roniece.

One of the things I like most about a poem, is when it has a nice flow. Yours has that!

Roniece....
I enjoyed this poem a lot - then I read your explanation, and liked it even more... I, too, lost someone I loved 25 years ago - and think of him still....

I look forward to reading more of your work... Good name, too

Oh, this poem jerked tears through my eyes, and left my soul quivering on the floor.  I have been there.  I know.  I am so very sorry.  Thank you for sharing.

Your poem is a very very nice entrance
I hope you will enjoy this site as much as I do
