I am fragmented,
the pieces floating freely away.
I only want to find myself,
to be whole again one day.

I reach out for validation,
someones hand to take a hold.
But yet I remain in pieces,
just floating in the cold.

I cry out in anger,
where is the promise I've been told?
The promise of love and truth?
The promise on which I've been sold?

Please stop pulling me apart!
It pains me, can't you see?
Just let me have the promise
that was promised once to me.

Definitely painful, I can relate to your words well.  Welcome to Passions, we're glad to have you here!

Welcome to Passions your poem is so good but so sad, I hope that you are in one piece soon

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

dear childomine, aren't we all trying to piece ourselves up in this cruel world? I hope that all of us will be in one piece soon.

Framents? I like that.  I feel that often.  Pieces, not yet complete, perhaps prohibited from closure, somehow, by someone...

Very good writing.  WELCOME!

Wonderful first post.

Holding the curve of one position,
Counting an endless repetiton.

Just keep the promises you make to yourself.  If they're the right promises, nothing can keep you from being whole.  And the other ones, the *right* others, will come to you.

Wonderfully done!
WELCOME TO THE FORUM
Who made you the promise?
If it was a human that is all we are.
I have had a recent loss and feel your pain.
