Lighthouse

As the wind swept clouds
across a thoughtless mind
and as wave after wave
crashed upon feelings...
the lighthouse stood watch
a beacon for those
lost at sea.
And when the eyes cleared
to reveal a starlit night
for guidance to navigate
around an impending mood...
the lighthouse still stands watch
a beacon for ships
lost in me.

ooh, nice, nice one!

I felt the cold salty spray of the sea air,
the intensity of the emotion.

Yes, yes yes!

The lighthouse has been looked upon as a symbol of Hope, and your poem expresses this superbly, Robert. An emotional lighthouse is something we all need from time to time, to illuminate the thick darkness of our hearts and guide us to shore. "...ships lost in me."...lovely language, Robert.

What a beautiful poem,
the lighthouse, in constant vigil, like a guardian angel.
Wonderful
