*Catching my breath*...First I was very touched by this wonderful poem. I feel the same way about my father. Then I was laughing so hard tears were streaming down my face.

Thankyou so much gentlemen....rarely do I find men who can send me on such a rollercoaster of emotion in minutes. Well done!!

I just found this astonishing poem.
Can hardly type through the lump in my keyboard. So beautiful it hurts just to read it. Thanks.

Obviously I haven't been around much (hence the date of this posting and the lateness of my reply). I like your style so I decided to run a search for more of your work. The title of this particular one grabbed my heart so naturally I had to read it. You recently replied to a posting I did in CA titled *My Greatest Love* so you know we have alot in common on this subject. That poem being written for my father as well.

It's a hard thing to have loved in such a way and then to have it taken from you. Very unlike a love for someone else, or so in my opinion. You know what I mean.

Thanks for posting this. It has a lot of emotion. Wonderful job!

This is beautiful beyond words although I cannot relate since I had the complete opposite relationship with my father.  But, nonetheless, this is powerful, very touching. Luckily, I had a mother who sounded like your father was with you...that's what gives me strength.

I'm glad that Ron left this link in my poem...indeed this is a perfect metaphor ion any level.
And I am sure that your father has read this from heaven, sounds cliche I know, but it is a comforting thought isn't it?

Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world!

Dang. I never read this one before.
Loved the open tenderness in this piece, Reb.
It's amazing what these archives hold in store for us.
