Hey, all you Passion poets! Just who do you think you are?
Your words are filled with love and praise - you write like Lochinvar.
You always act supportive...write to ease each other's grief.
When someone has a problem, you are there to give relief.

This tiny website has become a large community
Where folks can interract with love through words of poetry
But have you all forgotten there are other types out there
Who don't believe in caring and have little love to share?

To get attention, there are those who feel they must berate
And there are those who hate to love and those who love to hate.
No wonder you offend them so with all your shows of love...
They have no self-esteem and that's what you remind them of.

No Nobel prize in poetry will come out of this site.
No famous poets may emerge but....so what? That's all right.
The friendships bonded here will last until the end of time
And we'll not soon forget our days within this place of rhyme.

But what about the other guys - the typical bad boy?
Unable to create, their only choice is to destroy.
You all are their worst enemies. You are what they are not.
Your strength is in your values - those are things they haven't got.

Perhaps it would be kinder if we set aside our verse,
Belittled and berated...showed the world how we could curse....
No, I don't think so. Let's continue with our poetry
And, to the others, let's give them our heart-felt sympathy.

Well, the way I see it... We have plenty of room for love, passion, and romance... even a little self-serving depression now and then... but belittling and character disparagement... not to mention personal threats - We have no place for here at this site...

Love to all...

Balladeer,

I've seen some nasty critics
and many posting wars,
talk of psuedo intelligence
keeping track of spiteful scores.

And what you say, it's all true,
this place ROCKS, in my eyes
but one thing I don't understand
I won't win the nobel prize?

I haven't seen any cat fights here,
like another place that comes to mind
when I posted "Hey, Shut the HELL UP!"
that post I could not find!

So, in closing I must say
you write with such honesty,
and when it comes to prizes
you BE the king of poetry!

I agree with you -- indeed
Such poisoned tongues we do not need!

Oh, and as far as that Nobel Prize -- speak for yourself, I've got my eye on it!  LOL

No words I need to add, you have said all that
The way you did...made me breath a little flat
But I'm glad when I reached the end
For I believe that Love will always win...and not depend
I not only agree with you
I second your notion too
The "King" well here i thought and I was told
It was that guy "Elvis" but he is pretty old
So I second Corinne, we need a new
And I don't see a reason for this not to be you
Forgive my sense of humor here
Still thinking (drinking) that funny (German) beer
Well done there I love it, the poem that is, not the beer

Ahhhh Balladeer.....such words of comfort. I have been to the battle front in other ng's. I have swam with the sharks.....and now I write less poetry than any other time in my life.

Thank you.....I sincerely hope we meet someday.

This is by far the best place on the web I have found. I love having a place to come to where I can express my feelings and be accepted for them. Not everyone "gets" each others feelings but that is no excuse for being mean. Joking and teasing is great. Hurting someone just for their words is just not right. It's so nice to come into a circle of friends! -SEA

If they handed out nobel prizes for friendship
This site would have its share
If no one in the world understood
I could find someone here to care
If I didn't have a home
I could find my place on here
If I couldn't even buy a smile
Someone would give me one to wear
No, you may not all be famous
You may never win a prize
But there's not a greater bunch
Of people in my eyes

Excellent Poem Balladeer....thank you

I can live with the idea
That we are merely actors
Playing a part
But I do wish

Balladeer,

I just came home from the end of a very cold day of feeling lost and alone, and to find your sweetened and uplifting missive here just brings an aching lump to my throat...the kind of pain one can learn to love. Thank you, in earnest, for your words.

Hi ya Balladeer! It's me?...The Nobel Prize Winning Poet Toerag? I'm already so famous man that even the government's interested in me? In fact, I've heard my picture's seen around the country more than those damn Stuckys signs ya see all over hell and creation.......In fact, I think they keep my picture up in the post office to remind all those sweet ladies to lick their envelopes? If My strength is in my values old Hercules better just move on over don't ya think?..LOL.....This is another goodun' Roach.....Don't need to be concerned about them "bad boys" like ya said with old Toe around yanno...(If I could just ketchum in the act before Nan deletes their ass with that quick draw eraser of hers)...I told Rainbow I'd be more than happy to put on a dress, a wig, call the guy and tell him I was one of the ladies here, (In my best high pitched voice), and to come on over......he could find out if he could "walk a mile in my shoes"....(of course, my shoe may be buried quite deep somewhere and his walking may be a little funny)......LOL...good job here pal........(Ya wanna see my trophy for the Nobel thinggie?)

I have to agree
this place breeds friendship
amid it's many poets
basted with inspiring abilities.
Preoccupation in my mind
has drifted me from here lately
so my eyes have had no vision
of this cruelty cast upon kindness.
We do need to rise above these acts
and reach into our souls to forgive
those who carry mighty heavy loads
upon there shrugging shoulders.
Showing them the signs of truth
that love and kindness
conquer all in the long run.
So Sir Balladeer I bow to you
for a wonderful beginning of peace.

I have visited many poetry sites and must admitt this is this best one. People here are caring, friendly and just plain nice.
I once said that I do not have a big back ground for proper writting technique but I write from the heart. That to me is the most important type of writing that well ever be.
I read alot of everyones poetry you are all talented Thanks for sharing a little bit of your heart with me.

Kess and Corinne, believe me - after you've won a couple Nobels, the novelty wears off and all you've got left is a fatter bank account, a public who expects much much more, and your name left as a question on a future episode of Jeopardy.  Its not all its cracked up to be, so I think you would be better served having all the wonderful friends in here.

'Deer - you set a benchmark that is just out of my reach.  Thanks for another great poem.

Hey, Toe!! You misunderstood. I said the Nobel prize, not the noballs prize! ROFL@ladies licking! You have got to be one of the funniest men alive (of course, looks aren't everything, yanno?) You should be writing articles and books, like Lake Toebegone Days or something. I salute your incredible wit.

G.A.Webb...your correction is exactly right. Some people do have the same feelings inside but just can't let them out. Been there, done that. Thank you.

Good guy - evil one -- whoever you are ;

I assure you that Toe's friends are very much flesh and blood and would cross oceans to come to his aid were it required.  Something he has obtained in life precisely because he is truly a 'Good Guy'.

If you would put an end to all this foolishness apologize and open up a little bit -- I think you'd find that you might find some genuine friends too.

These people all have big enough hearts to forgive even you man.  I know you gotta have some kinda pain goin on to be actin like this.  Give these folks a try.

Evil One.....for someone who doesn't like the people here, you're sticking around a bit more than would be expected. You just keep showing us what a small mind you have..... I feel sorry for you.   -SEA

Can I have some mail too????

I'm getting lonely and need An e-mail buddy to swap mail with!!!

Yes, I admit your general rule. That every poet is a fool:
But I myself may serve to show it. That every fool is not a poet.

Well, it sure looks like I need to catch this here new guy cause he has no idea who he is, he'll fit right in with the Justin's at the stute, heck they think their artists and this guy thinks he's someone special. We can find out who you are and when were done with your brain scan we'll let Bugs Bunny show you around. It won't be long till you see the true side of reality.

Toe, honey,

Don't admonish yourself my friend,

So moderators 1,2,3

SnglDad/EvilOne/GoodGuy/whatever you want to call yourself: You're obviously crying for attention... but perhaps you should refine your act... because you DON'T want to mess with some of the men on this board.... Of course, you can continue to act like a horse's rear... I think it's pretty pathetic that you can only get your jollies by causing controversy and making threats.  But others are much more forgiving... You should take a long hard look... and perhaps learn to be human in the process.

Kind and gentle poets. Please ignore the pest and he will go away....he is enjoying taunting you and registering time and again....he will grow tired of this soon. In the meantime..let's put him in his place... beneath our contempt.

Now...let's write some poetry....

Hey whoever you are.....why don't you go play in alt.art.poetry.comments or alt.language.pure-silk or maybe even ucd.rec.poetry or perhaps rec.art.poetry??

They would love you over there....just your kind they are.

Maybe that's where you came from in the first place.

As to anger....there is no anger here. I have been in the other ng's long enough to know where anger and insecurity lies.

Defense is not anger....

YOU are angry inside and love to stir up defense in others so you can sit back and say they are the angry ones.

I will not reply to you any more. You had my 5 minutes and that is all you get.
