I saw a small company and thought it would grow
Will that day ever come I really don't know
I accepted this job but now I regret it
If offered again I'd tell them forget it

I sit here and brood with mounting frustration
Helplessly trapped in my isolation
Working all day on the same old assignment
Getting so tired of this constant confinement

Get out and go walk my dear friend would say
To break the monotony of this dreary day
I ponder the advice of which she had spoken
While sitting alone in my chair that is broken

I sit here for hours with my indignation
A future career is my sole contemplation
The next year will come and I'll find a new way
Because I am oh so unhappy suffice it to say

(((((You)))))

Gee, G...

So sorry to hear you're feeling plumb glum
if a hug could help cheer you,
I've always got some
and don't mind sharing
with a frustrated friend
just a little sign of caring
'til your "gruntle's" on the mend.

Take care,

Dear LadyClaire

When your frustrated, it's time to look at it differently and call it a challenge.  I know where you're at...good luck!

Sorry for your sad news.
If a door behind you is about to close, don't look at it. Look at the one in front of you thats about to open.
Take it as an oppertunity,
I hope for you that tings will work out
But still also it's sad a good peom.

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

I can certainly relate to the ole "it's time to make a change in employment" blues.  Well done... and good luck!

G. A. Webb,
Don't know about the job,
But the poem was rather good.
A job,is a job,is a job,
This I understood.
But just fretting won't
Do the slightest bit of good.

Just please don't tell me you work for the post office

I can live with the idea
That we are merely actors
Playing a part
But I do wish
Whoever is writing my script
Would learn to use
A few more Happy Endings

...um...
Perhaps you should consider early retirement and just become a poet...

Meadowmuse...Yes, me...lol. Not all of my poems are so full of love. This can be seen in the Dark Passions forum. Thank you for the hug and the support.

Tulip...I agree, this is another challenge that I have to face and I'll do just that. Thank you.

HelmutB...As the door behind me closes I find myself searching for the one in front so that I can open it. I know I'll find it, though it may take a little time. Thank you.

Suthern...Thank you, I need all the luck I can get, but then again, don't we all. Thanks again.

Seymour Tabin...You're right my friend,, just fretting dose no good. It's time for action. Thank you.

Hoot_owl_m...LOL...No, I don't work for the post office. I sit and draft all day while listening to CDs by myself which drives me craze. Thanks for reading this.

Dsnyder...Thanks for the advice. I'm in the process of doing just that.

Nan...I wish I could. I'd love to be able to make a living at writing. Any suggestions? Thank you and take care.
