In the moonlight, Shadow's dancing with Starlight
Their steps aren't practiced,
          They're improvised
And the results are there in the skies
Shining like diamonds right before our eyes.

In the moonlight, Shadow's dancing with Starlight
They move across the void
          With such effortless grace
Their twists and turns bring a smile to my face
And they're so easy to see from this high place.

In the moonlight, Shadow's dancing with Starlight
Take my hand my love
          And let me lead
Because you're the only partner I'll ever want and need
And since I've met you, my life has been blessed indeed.

*sighs, very loudly* ah, how beautifully romantic. This is the type of poem I was expecting when I issued the challange. All have been wonderful, such an assortment, some romantic, some dark, some whistful. But it is the romantic poems that touch this born romantics heart. Thank you for the lovely post. Challange well met

Sven, yes, you certainly did say. And you certainly took to Hoot's challenge in gracefully poetic fashion. Another fine piece of writing!

Well done and very romantic. I used a line in one of the last ones I wrote. A couple of people commented on it. If you are willing, use "In the twilight, love's last blooming" in a poem. what do you say?
