In the moonlight, shadows dancing on the lake,
If this is a dream, don't pinch me
Because this is one from which I don't want to wake.
Nothing but the moon and starlight as far as the eye can see
My hand you reach for, your hand I take
Like we're standing at the edge of the earth,
but there's nowhere else I'd rather be.

In the moonlight, shadows dancing under the moon,
You and I step into that cool clear pool
Hoping that the morning comes none too soon.
The water against our warm skin makes it feel soft and cool.
Far in the distance, the plantive cry of the last loon
Echoes to the sky above and the forest surrounding
filling both with his mournful "Ool".

In the moonlight, shadows dancing on the shore,
Being with you here is more than I could have dreamed
And in my heart, I could not have asked for more.
You have entered my life making it more real than it seemed.
The love that I have for you burns from within my core.
Then to sky and moon, to star and loon at the top
of my voice, "I love you!" I screamed.

Sven, this is precious. And the line,

"Far in the distance, the plantive cry of the last loon"

illustrates so well the poetry within you.

I love that you scream "to sky and moon, to star and loon at the top
of my voice, "I love you!"

...such a lovely work, this is.

Again...another fine poem to the challange and oh so romantic

I can live with the idea
That we are merely actors
Playing a part
But I do wish
Whoever is writing my script
Would learn to use
A few more Happy Endings

You are a true romantic, for sure, and in answer to your question posed under one of my poems, the answer is yes. You are a mixture of both

Sven-
This is just too pretty and well-done
to fade away.
So back to the top with you !
