~I have the upmost respect for Women and Love. This poem is not a true story but, only a dream that all women should be treated as Beautiful Human Beings and not "Objects". This is also a poem of my feelings about Love. However, everyone has their own feelings toward the subject and so, I hope no one take offense to my thinkings and thoughts and rather look at Love from someone else's perspective! Thanks for understanding.~
~This Poem is Specially Dedicated to Amy~
~He said to me:
Oh guess what, I met someone today
Did not even talk, there was nothing to say
Just looked at her Beauty, looked at her face
And that's all it took for my heart to race
Her scent was wonderful that smelled of flowers
And her stride was more graceful than that of spring showers
She gave me laughs and she gave me smiles
Which lit up the land for miles and miles
Basically perfect without a single flaw
I liked how she looked, I liked what I saw
She can fly more swiftly than the dove
Oh Seth Oh Seth, I think I'm in Love!
~I replied softly with laughter:
No no my friend! You seem to be mislead
It sounds like you just want her to join you in your bed
For all you talked about was her physical looks
And Beauty that's from your fairy tale books
Love is so much more than what you see
And if you put Love in looks, it will perhaps never be
For Love is inside, beneath her eyes
In her heart, in her soul and her mind is where it lies
Beautiful, a Princess? Boring and Witty?
You never found out if she had personality
Love,my friend, should not be in force
"For if Love finds you worthy, It will direct your course"
We all like beauty, we all like grace
We all wish for bodies with roses to trace
Love is a feeling that makes up our fate
And it might take a while to find our soul mate
But until that happens, find many friends
For they will be with you until the ends
Ends of the world, ends of the earth
There when friends leave and when Love is at birth
Feeling for her lie deep down inside
So pull them out for there's no need to hide
Love is that feeling when you first wake
And it is breakfast for her that you want to make
You want to pick her flowers around the mid-day
You want to bring her dinner on a sterling silver tray
A few hours later, a kiss on the lips
But can be just as good as on her fingertips
You don't need her body with clothes to undress
Just her gorgeous face for you to caress
You  don't need parties with alcohol and razz
But maybe a fire in the fireplace, soft music and jazz
Day after day, it is these feelings and more that do return
And day after day your sould will be on fire and for her it will burn
So, you're not in Love!! In fact very far!
So go back to your books and wish upon that star
You do like her and from there Love can grow
But it will not be as smooth as the rivers flow
But I'm happy for you! We all need a start!
Just follow your feelings and follow your heart
I think it's only once that I have been in Love
And let me tell you...It's what ALL sweet dreams are made of.

^5 Seth!  What every woman hopes every man knows...this is wonderfully orchestrated.

Wow Seth, such a beautiful poem.  Infact I am going to save this one.  You have helped ease my pain I had in the past.  And will help ease the pain I'll have in the future.

Thank you

I've been thinking about this subject for awhile and its seems that love and lust both have their place in this world and it is up to us to choose the balance.  Both are passionate desires for us to correctly use or foolishly abuse.  Your poem is full of wisdom and insight about this thing called Love.   I liked it alot.     James
