*chorus*
They say time marches on
but the times have changed,
and that love fades out-
'cept it's still the same.
Ya work so hard
but ya still don't gain.
You sacrifice all
yet your still in pain.
********************

So, you work on your love
and you work for your meal.
You don't make enough
so beg, borrow, and steal.
You try so hard-
but let's get real...
The world doesn't care
about how you feel!

Now you're down on your luck
ya have no where to turn-
and this crazy world
don't care if you burn.
You've made mistakes
and you've tried to learn-
you search for help
but you're not THEIR concern.

*chorus*

Now millenium's ehre,
it's the year 2000
and the hate and fear
in your heart's been rousin'
The inferno of rage
that you've been housin'
you'd better hold back
'fore you need dousin'.

Life's gettin' better
'though things are hard.
The bills rack up
on the credit card.
You're reputation's jinxed
and you're face is marred;
and you got feathered
while I got tarred.

*chorus*

this was written March of 1999 for my friend's band. he really likes depressin' stuff, wo that's what i wrote.

Thanks for sharing. I'm glad the mil-bug was a hoax, aren't you?

i'm very glad the milbug was a hoax...
the music to the lyrics hasn't been forally writen out yet, i have a tune in my head for it, but the band disbanded long before it was written out properly.

Ms. Abagail...I'm ashamed to say this, but this is the first I've read of your work, and it's fantastic......And dear God I can relate to it!
