Another from high school........

Forgive Me

I never meant to leave you
standing small
among the California pines,
but the wind was playing
in your hair
as if the whole world
could be found
on top of your golden head,
and I felt so insignificant
that even the winter pine cones
were greater than me.

You wrote well even then, Beki... I wish I had started as a teenager...

Nice to see you again...

This is lovely, too, Beki! It says so much with so few words!

Even when you realize that you have made a mistake, it feels good to be able to say it...

A nice poem you did. I know what it feels like to feel small and insignificant, you prosed this so well.

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.
