Hanging 'Round

I used to think you were untouchable
You were everyone's friend but mine
And I thought I'd never have
A chance with you
You were you; I was me.

And then somewhere in between
It all changed and went astray
Maybe it was 'cuz I told you I loved you
But now you're inviting me more often
To come and hang 'round

And I stop and think
And wonder how it is
We got to this point
And it baffles me
That you'd want me in your life
I never would have thought
It'd end up like this

You could have anyone you want
If you tried; that killer charm.
But you're content to let me hang around
You could have anyone you want
And it's me hanging 'round

And I stop and think
And wonder how it is
I got to this point
And it baffles me
That you'd want me in your life
I never would have dreamt
It'd end up like this

You could have anyone…

You don't need to tell me
You love me
'Cuz it's me who's hanging 'round

You don't need to tell me
you love me
I can hear it in your voice
When you beg me to come 'round

I never would have dreamt
It'd end up like this
You don't need to tell me
You love me
I already know

I found myself singing this ...

Catchy tune it was, too.  Welcome!

--Kess

Full fathom five thy father lies,
Of his bones are coral made,
Those are pearls that were his eyes;
Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange...

WELCOME!  What a poem! Hope it all works out too! But why wouldn't they choose you?

Altameria...

I agree: "musically delicious" to read.  Welcome to the Passions family!
