Thank you, dear poet friends

For every storm that passes through
The meadows of our lives
There is a place of welcome shelter
Where the soul survives

There is a tree adorned with leaves
To wait and stay the storm
Each leaf there to protect and hold
The spirit in its warmth

For every raindrop pouring down
The wild grassy field
There is a ray of sunlight waiting
Which the storm will yield

A large umbrella overhead
Protecting from above
There is a canopy of friends
To give and share their love

For every friend there is a prayer
For every prayer there is a light
For every light there is a hope
For heart's survival in the night

Until the storm has passed on by
And meadow turns to dry
There is a rainbow come to light
To dry the weary eye

And I have true been blessed with these
A shelter from the storm
A canopy embracing me
A blanket soft and warm

A rainbow lit to fill the skies
Illuminating dark
And I can hear the warbling
Of song-filled meadow lark

I'm impressed with your poem
I sense a certain amount of sad words in it?
But it is well written
We have to thank you "dear"

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

In the soft glow of friendship
what you give ... you shall receive
No greater love have you been shown
that what you've given me

A canopy of friendships prayers
is sent to One above
until the sun comes out again
to warm you in our love

Wrap the quilt of friendship
around your shoulders, friend
The hearts where love resides
really has no end

Elizabeth, may this site be an outlet for all of the emotions you and Tony will be going through in days to come...vent, release, grasp, hug, smile, cry...you do whatever you want...we will be here for you and Tony both.

Prayers are coming from all over
many angels come to hover
gathering together is what we do
all on behalf of Tony and you.

Elizbeth:  Absolutely stunning..

I'm off to bed now but I'll be looking for an update from someone in the morning.

Big HUSG sweetheart

Liz, with such strong faith showing in your beautiful poetry, and the "wall of prayer" going up around you and Tony, you may rest assured that God will bless you both and hold you in the hollow of His hand.
Frieda and I are praying for you too, now.
Warm greetings,

Willem

Dear Poet Friends,
All of your comments are being read by me, Tony and our children and I want you to know they have meant so much to us at this time. Though you've never seen our faces, you surround us with love, and shower us with blessings, and these things have truly warmed our hearts, and I want to thank you for all you've done
Liz
