Little Marianne
~Marge Tindal~

Down by the seashore
playing in the sand
naked as a jaybird
it's little Marianne

Fun and frolic waiting
nestled in the sand
naked as a sandpiper
little Marianne

Sun is bright and shiny
on her little hiney
naked as a seagull
it's little Marianne

Splashing in the water
waves upon the sand
Cavorting with the dolphins
little Marianne

Flighty feet a dancing
footprints in the sand
fresh from catching fishes
it's little Marianne

Sandcastles calling
waves come crashing in
tiny toes a dashing
little Marianne

Splashing in the water
with her little hands
laughing with abandon
it's little Marianne

Such a little mermaid
water on her fins
swishing through the ocean
little Marianne

On her little blanket
down by the sea ...
little Marianne
now sleeping next to me
Shhhhhh !

Down by the seashore
a smile upon her face
though the years have flown
time will not erase
memories of Marianne
down by the sea
a day of fun and frolic
in my memory

*Just a little fun made up for a
three year old who said ...
'Sing a song about ME !'

Oh, isn't this so sweet! A pretty song it makes! I'm sure she loved it!  The fish is really neat too!

That's very sweet of you to create such a nice poem for that special little three year old

Oh this brought back memories...in fact...lol...I have a certain picture of my now 15 year-old son, that I could probably use as blackmail, of when he was two or three in the same exact scene...couldn't keep his swim trunks up, so he opted to take them off all together...lol. Thanks for the smile and the memories

Denise-
And sweet is the picture
of that little Miss Priss saying,
'Sing it again, pretty please.'
Thank you.  She's now a comely
teen and still she says it's
her favorite song.
(even better that N'Sync)
If I ever need a compliment
bigger than that ... help me.

One Who Understands-
Thank you.  I was held hostage
at the mercy of a three year old
who could plead her case.

Hoot-
LOL !  Aren't those 'little buns'
just the cutest !  With sweet abandon
children cavort through our hearts.
