In a bleak November autumn mist,
with haze of amber hues
My lips touched by a crimson kiss
That pulled me in the muse

Through day's and years I fair the well
Bound by bitter ties
As a captured bird with wounded wing
That kept me close at side

Singed, by verse my ears were cursed
With all as black as night
As darkness filled the hollow hull
And took away my sight

Drunken by the empty lies
That slivered from your tongue
I felt my life get swept away
As line and verse were one

Tori, these are sad but so well written. And touch the heart! Well done my friend!

Tori-
I really enjoyed the flow of this.
Seemed to follow the path of a tear.

I've got one word for you my friend...thinking!

May I never be too busy to help another's load,
Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed.
