It was the darkest hour
of the darkest night
then shown to me
a most beautiful light

"Come this way
safety is near,
come to me-
your soul belongs here"

As I got closer
still I could not see
who belonged to the voice
beckoning me

Once there,
my feet in warm sand
I felt the touch
of a strong hand

Looked up,
your eyes I did see
-Thank you God-
I'm home, finally!
