~With love for Lizzy and Antony~

There in the place
      of silence weeping
there in the home
      of worry fearful

a woman lives remarkable
with love to fly the world around

and now our arms
       encircle you
wider and stronger
      than moon-pushed tides

Elizabeth you are our wonder
your life and poems rich inspire

and I cry out for you
      my tears reach over
heaven bound
      a healing prayer

into the wounded body of your beloved
into the bravery of your family

I am here
I am here
many voices
chant the same

just call across to us
our friend in need
for here we sit with you the vigil…

21.01.2000

Elizabeth...I can think of no words of comfort adequate enough to ease the pain your family is going through right now but I, along with everyone here, have you and yours in our thoughts and prayers. May God be generous.

Kamla, your poem is exquisite and filled with feeling. I'm just sorry there was a reason to write it, as I'm sure you are.

With tears in my eyes, I read your lovely poem. With prayers in my heart, I hope that Elizabeth and Anthony will find the strength they need now. Kamla, you are a jewel...a shining star among us....this is beautiful! May I suggest you send it to Elizabeth via an E-card? It will be perfect! God bless you.

There are no other words that I can add to the beautiful ones above to sufficiently express my love and concern for Elizabeth, Tony and the family. My prayers are with them all. Thanks for giving me the words that I couldn't find, Kamla.

Loving words from a loving heart.  You are indeed a friend beyond reproach.

Of his bones are coral made,
Those are pearls that were his eyes;
Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange...

Liz and Tony you are both still in my prayers, and Kamla this is a beautiful poem, but as it was said before, I am just sorry that there had to be a reason to write it!
