With a child's eyes I've seen
This thing they call war.
Death and destruction
Fire, fear and eradication
Behind these child's eyes I wondered
What is all the fighting for?

With a child's voice I asked
Why must so many die?
Greed, rage and hate
Pride, prejudice and fate
This child's voice is silent
Afraid even to ask why.

With a child's mind I've sought
A solution to all this strife
Pain, panic, mutilation
Tyranny and degradation
This child's mind can¹t comprehend
The ugliness I see in life

With a child's heart I cry
Love is better than hate
Peace, happiness and joy
For Black and White, girl and boy
This child's heart is pleading
Listen, please! It's not too late.

With a child's eyes I've seen
This thing they call war.
Death and destruction
Fire, fear and eradication
For the children I am fearing
Must we fight forevermore?

Cutie Putootie! Love the name there.  Now when I invited you to come to Passions I didn't say you could lie about your self image.   haha, no just kidding, love ya and I love the poem.  Wonderful work, great to have a friend join me in Passions.

Hey and what's this!?  Your getting more responses than me and I'm not new!  This means war.

Nan~
Thanks so much for the e-mail greeting that was very nice of you to show me the "latest" features.  But considering I'm not computer smart it would probably take me a whole day to figure out where the "e-mail greeting" button is.

Devine~
Curious one, aren't you?  Well, I actually took the name off of Rosie O'Donnel because she uses it quite often to describe someone who is "extremely" (might I add that) cute.  So I guess that best describes this 28 yr old woman.

And for you Blondie~
What's this about me lying about my self image?  Oh no...perfectly true and you know that honey.  You wait till your mother hears about this one.  But I love you too.

And everyone else that gave me great responses thanks so much for making me feel "right at home."

A nice poem as introduction
Welcome to Passions
Liked it very much

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

WELCOME!
NICE POEM!
We should all look at life
through the eyes of a child
wouldn't that make for a beautiful
world .
