It isn't fun to sit quietly by,
While tears are pouring from my eyes,
Thinking of my friends in the fray....
(Somehow seems to make my day.)

Balladeer, with his new style,
As usual makes the ladies smile.
And suthern, too, I might add,
Seems to be somehow glad.

Poor ol' Toe, with face so long,
Has been rebuked for his wrongs.
Regardless, though, Toe's still game...
(psst, Toe.  'Deer says you're in 1st Grade).

These two poets in their war,
Make us sad like ne'er before.
Toe with his off color wit,
'Deer with his rewsponse to it.

We want you two to stop this war,
We don't want you fighting anymore.
(psst, 'Deer. Toe says you will get yours.)
(psst, Toe. 'Deer says you write real poor).

Blessed are the peacemakers, I've been told,
That's why 'Deer should make peace with Toe.
And, Toe, my friend, you should too
Make peace with 'Deer as I would do.

Now come on boys, please shake hands.
Show us you'll give peace a chance.
(psst, 'Deer.  Toerag said you write real bad.)
(psst, Toe.  'Deer says he'll kick your a**.)

Please heed my call to end this feud,
We in Passions love both of you.
(psst, Toe.  'Deer says he'll run you off.)
(psst, 'Deer.  Toe says you're always soft.)

Heed this plea from old Long John,
We fear for you if you go on.
(psst, 'Deer.  Toe says you love young sheep.)
(psst, Toe.  'Deer says you're in trouble deep.)

LOL@rewsponse!!

Poor 'Deer, writes with such grace and elegance...spells one word wrong and gets trounced!

Thank God for you all, and the laughs and smiles you give us.

(poem wasn't too shabby either)

May I never be too busy to help another's load,
Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed.

Hey LJA... you ever think about working for the United Nations? You could be a front line peacekeeper in say places like the Middle East... India & Pakastan... the defucted USSR  states... All the hot spots! Yep, you would be my man of choice for world peace. And on that forum you might even run for Miss America or Miss Universe. Just remember the wave... its elbow-elbow, wrist-wrist.

LJA, your "peacemaking" sounds more like "Piece-making"...as ever I've heard!

Now, if ONLY 'Deer and Toe will respond accordingly...

LongJohn, after waxing so eloquently on this subject, I do agree that you are truly one of the great pacemakers of our time! I, for one, will be glad to bury the hatchet. (Hey, Toe! Put your neck on that block of wood for a sec, ok, pal?)

LOL, if these two were ever at peace it could become boring around here!  Glad to see your return around here, you were missed!

Thank you, all my fine friends.  Your responses were very much needed today.  They made me laugh and smile, and that is a very special present, indeed.

If 'Deer and Toe did stop this feud
What on earth would all us do
without the laughs they bring to us
I for one would have to fuss

So Toe I heard from 'Deer you smell
And 'Deer, Toe said that you can't spell
You all can call me an instigator
but they CAN'T stop this now OR later

Ahhh, sailor... wasn't "peacemaker" a term for the quick guns of the Old West? *G* Are you sure you're not a divorce lawyer? LOL. Good job... thanks for the grins!

Belle - thanks for that grin - I was afraid you might side with Toe AND 'Deer and come after me.  Them I can handle - you I can't.

I responded to your Fenster poem.  I hope it gives you a smile.  You know me and cats, so the theme of that poem is really quite rare for me.
