Someone I know has been handcuffed;
Someone I know has been put in shackles;
Someone I know has been banned from this site.
~ ~ ~
Someone I know is no longer allowed to post here.
Someone I know cannot share poetry, or comments.
Someone I know has been excommunicated because of his flirtatious responses to others' poetry at times.
Someone I know may not have used his best judgement.
This can happen to the best of human beings.
~ ~ ~
Someone I know has only been on The Net for a little over a month.  It took me a year to convince him to try it.
~ ~ ~
Someone I know has always has a boyish flirty side to him, but never means any harm by it.  He never meant anyone to feel badly by anything he wrote.
I cannot let him be simply kicked to the side of the road like a dying dog, without saying a word.
~ ~ ~
The someone I know is my husband, The Keeper, and I know, after thirty-eight years of knowing him, the depth of his love for me; and the absolute meaninglessness of his flirtatious talk.
~ ~ ~
Dale Wayne Van Sickle Gwaltney is the most important part of my life besides God, and has been since I was eleven years old.  Now I've lived nearly half a century.
~ ~ ~
I've been posting at Passions for thirteen months.
But...
~ ~ ~
Someone I know is injured, and I am angry.
Was it really necessary?
~ ~ ~
I simply needed to open my mouth and speak.
Perhaps this is just another river to cross ...

Peace.

I wondered where The Keeper's poems had gone.  The explanation is disturbing.

Oh, Echo Rhayne,

Thank you for your comments.  Thank you for your care.

     I love your recent poem:

What if the heart is not where love resides?
Perhaps it lives elsewhere.  What if love abides
in some unsuspected organ, artery or tissue?
Some secret place from which our feelings issue.
For all we know, the hearts a Hallmark hustle,
it may be nothing more than merely pump or muscle.
An arbitrary symbol, selected wouldn't you know it,
by some befuddled lover, who called himself a poet.
Why not a wisdom tooth, it too contains no brain?
And like the heart, it sometimes throbs with pain.
As does the human ear, whose hurt we may mistake.
Was it an infection, or was it love's sweet ache?
What if love is found in our armpits or big toes.
Places you can tickle with a thorny red, red rose.
Or could it be reflected in the eye of a beholder?
Hey, I'm only guessing, can I be getting colder?
Ah well, the heart will do as well as any other sign,
it's been used for years and years on every Valentine.
But I know that love's alive in a kennel that encloses,
a hound with floppy ears, and the coldest of wet noses.

This is very, very good!  And with a hilarious ending!

Of course I care, I knew somethign was missing around here, I just couldn't put my finger on what, and with so many people its hard to keep track of whose here and not.  But let him know he's missed (at least by me )

Thank you most kindly, I am glad you liked it =)

Rosemary, please tell him that I will miss him too. I didn't (still don't)know what had happened but I did enjoy his works while he was here. Hugs to you my friend. Hopefully things will work out and he can continue posting.

I do not know what to say
I have seen only a few pieces written by the "Keeper". From what I have seen, this is certainly a surprice to me.
I would think that there is a way to resolve this. It's got to be. Perhaps the person(s) who banned him state the why.
Nevertheless a good write

Ladies and Gentlemen.... My dear Passionate Poetic Friends.... Allow me to explain...

While The Keeper may have been flirtatious with some, so is most everyone here... My goodness - If we banned folks for such behavior, we wouldn't have any members left here at Passions.  I personally wasn't aware that The Keeper was indulging in such harmless banter.

There is one reason alone that he is no longer allowed to post on this site. The Keeper personally requested that Ron delete every post that he had made since he joined Passions.  Ron spent an entire night making sure that each and every post was deleted, as per Keeper's own request.  Ron is a very patient man, folks; but he's not masochistic.  He's not going to put himself in a position to have to do the same at a later date.

Ron honored Keeper's own request.  It's as simple as that....

~Rosemary~

I greatly admire your love and your defense of your husband.  I found ~The Keeper's~ written works to be quite refreshing, well-done and they gave me a porthole through  which to peek into his soul.  I enjoyed the view and continue to miss his works here.

Dale's poetry and his comments to my poetry have been greatly missed by me.  I am appreciative of the opportunity to visit yours and Dale's homepage to view the lovely 'life-story-poetry' presented there.  I've read EVERY poem on your homepages and have been privileged to see into a love between two people that I found to be deep, dedicated and sincere.

*For ~The Keeper~ ... I don't need to tell you, but I will, that you've got one heck of a woman in your corner !  I've missed your tender poetry here and hope that the situation can be resolved so that you can return here.  You were refreshingly unique and are sincerely missed by this member of the great community of poets on Passion's In Poetry.

God bless you both.
~Marge~

Rosemary, I too have missed seeing the keeper's poetry here.  I don't know what happened, all I know is that his poetry was like a breeze blowing through his soul and it touched mine.

Yes, but for Keeper to have felt that he needed to take such drastic action, to have his posts deleted ... each and every one... says that there was an earlier breakdown in communication... or at least understanding.
I couldn't say (I wasn't there) but I do know that both Ron and Keeper are good men at heart and that both must have been feeling wretched over this.
However, I don't recall that penalty in the rules.
If Keeper was warned that this would be the effect and still insisted then there is not much more I can do but grieve his absence and hope that it resolves to everyone's benefit.

This is, or should not be, an empire of arbitrary justice. We are poets. We should be setting an example by example.
If the poets of the world cannot make an effort to live in peace and harmony what hope is there for the rest of mankind?

Apparently this was not a red letter day (yet).

(Tears.)  Thank you for your care, my friends; you succeeded in diffusing much of my anger until I melted into simple grief.

I'm sorry, Ron.  I hold you in high esteem; always have for the entire thirteen months.  I know my husband never meant to cost you so much time.

Yes, communication and understanding; indeed, two words that encompass poetry from the heart - and aren't they two attributes sometimes extremely difficult to obtain in real life?!

Although still not fully understanding the why's who's and where's. I second the remark from Kelvinator
"If the poets of the world cannot make an effort to live in peace and harmony what hope is there for the rest of mankind?"

Perhaps there is a solution that could be seeked.

As much as love and honesty, I suppose.

Surely the door is not closed and nailed shut. Surely this is not a shunning.

Surely both men are not waiting for the other to apologize first.

Declare peace then and prosper,
