In my heart, it will always be a special summer.
One so precious, I will always remember.
The time we spent together, are treasures in the wind.
Those memories, I'll always keep, for you touched me deep within.

I did not know, at that time, into my life you would arrive.
Though it was only for a short while, our dreams did come alive.
The time came too quickly when we had to part.
But, to each other we gave our hearts.

I smile a little and remember the day
We said good-bye and went our separate way.
A parting kiss and a farewell smile,
We wouldn't see each other for awhile.

But time passed, and you did not return.
And for those magical moments, my heart did yearn.
Time and distance took its toll
And left behind a broken soul.

Things didn't turn out as we had planned.
And I just couldn't understand.
But I grew stronger as time went by.
And now I believe, I can whisper good-bye.

I know I have.
And in the end all
you can really do
when your ready
is whisper good bye.

Time can cure a broken heart
It may take a lifetime or only a month
I loved this poem on summer love
