Picture

         caught
‘tween
   ocean’s crossing
           and
places of remember
   childhood returned
and love
   wept

        lo,
walls of desire
    laughed in tears
reminiscing
o’er        times
   when we
were one

time’s ago
       when we were
adventurers
explorers of
      ourselves
our       fate
our       destiny

but e’en now
   -all we gained-
   -all we had-
is found
           in nought
save the
rotted nettles
‘twixt
weed grown
                             dreams

and
poplar’s fallen o’er.

This is lovely...both the words and the layout

Christopher-

So aesthetically pleasing to the eye ...
and to the tongue ... a taste of honey.

Beautiful ... just beautiful !

This paints a breathtaking picture in my mind....some of the words you used are divine...I like the imagery in how you wrapped it all up at the end....mysteriously so.  Indeed, you should write more!  Laugh my friend, laugh.....(cheezy grin atcha)

A captivating study in contradictions, my friend -- quite appropros in consideration of the source.

This liked me much, but I've yet to have a (serious) complaint about your work, especially your freeverse ...
