I think I must have missed it, but I know it will be okay. Cause within these walls here are a bunch of fantastic people!

Well you have not offended me, but if you happened to offended anyone, I am sure (being mature people and a big family) that you are already forgiven =)  And if I have failed to do so already, welcome friend!

I think this will go a long way in bridging some of the distance you have created. One thing about this place, it's a great group of people and forgiveness is readly given. I think you'll fit in just fine here   Welcome again

The name of the place is Passions! Aptly named for you speak with a passionate voice. And though we may disagree on some things, our differences make us just different..not better or worse than anyone..just different. I'm glad you are a passionate person..a passionate poet...and will gladly call you family here...

SnglDad -- if this has anything to do with your views posted in an MLK message yesterday, you have nothing to apologize for. I, and many others, don't agree with you, but it'd be very hypocritical of me to point out someone's exclusionary views and then give that person the cold shoulder. It's all about love, no matter what. And that's something I'll always stand by. No hard feelings (there never were).

This went right over my head, since I must have blinked and missed the whole thing, so it couldn't have been that damaging, especially with all those hugs. So let's forget all about what I don't even know. Welcome to Passions

There was nothing to be sorry or to forgive
We all have our way of life to live
We all have minds on our own
After all that makes the world carry on
As other's said before, we are a great bunch
Here is my hand as friend...take a hunch
Poets have always been sensitive
I believe it's because of our special give
Where would we be without Shakespear only to name one
Keep on writing a poem...and then some
I could not let this go by
Here is my hand....so don't be shy

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

I'm with Elizabeth, must have blinked and missed something but we all say things we don't mean and sometimes we hear things that haven't been said as well...*g*

Hey, we all have our opinions and we all don't agree at times but that's just how life is. Of course we can be friends besides we're all a loving family. Great poem!

FORGIVE
then God will forgive
and forget.

I have no idea what this is about.
We need to make our opinions known
but the trick is not to be offended
if others don't agree.

People from literally around the world
hang out here, there is no way we are going to always agree or understand and there will be misunderstandings. But maybe the more we do this, the more we will undrestand.
SnglDad if  you are writing poetry you are alright in my book because it takes a certain type of human being which I am proud to be a part of that can spill there Spirit to the world.

Dear Sngldad:

With your clever but saddening byline
I would say you were a man just fine
of character, for you have shown remorse
over something you thought was a little "off course"...

and this, to all in Passions, shows a heart
worn on a sleeve, that you would impart
a plea for acceptance, but here we are,
opening the door wide, indeed, it is ajar

to welcome you in, and bring your works
for the likes of you, we wouldn't shirk -
so come young man, come right on in,
you're sure to find us all, of much thicker skin!

Welcome to Passions!

Well I too blinked and missed this. I am sure that your apology will be accepted with open arms (well maybe just a warm handshake..lol) It was very nice of you to make your remorse known. Welcome again to Passions.

Carry on my friend and worry not,
the company you keep is a kindly lot,
It's expression we seek and admire
an apology for this we won't require
Most often people offer a positive note,
If you want support, you have my vote.

What do you all mean we don't have to think alike? I thought we all "thought" alike.  In fact, don't we all share the same brain? I thought this gray matter was just on loan from Toe. Well dang me! Freedom of thought... no hive mentality here... you have to think and feel for yourself... very mature stuff. Hmmmm.... Toe? You're not getting this back.

SglDad... don't know what all the hub-bub is about but this place is good about such matters of forgiveness.  You're in excellent company.  Welcome to these poetic halls... and please forgive me for my ravings above. Just having fun, don't cha know! Peace.

SnglDad,

If you didn't have your own mind and your own opinion you wouldn't be human. I watched it all go down. We the global family are just infants learning to live and love together. In here is a precious place, that people of poetry and opinion live, and you are one of them.

You're worried about offending someone in a place that tolerates TOERAG???   That's a good one!!!!

You'll never find anyone here who will turn their back on you for expressing sincere, heartfelt thoughts without malicious intent....I applaud your belief in your convictions.

OK, Now I remember what this is about, but I don't see the need for an apology. Everyone is entitled to their own views, and we are free to express them.
We have the freedom of speech, the freedom of belief, and the freedom of thought
How fortunate we are
Now write some poetry, dear poet

I too am lost concerning anything that needs forgiveness.  Welcome to passions where we say what's in our heart and you have certainly done that in this sweet poem.

Dear SnglDad, I think I had already decided that you weren't such a bad sort from the start. You stated your opinion without being hateful or malicious and you are entitled to your feelings just as everyone else is. Around here things ARE like a big family and sometimes we tend to get a LITTLE passionate about our beliefs. That's what makes it so great. We still seem to love each other through the commonality of the written word no matter our opinions or maybe even in spite of it. Welcome to passions and I hope you feel the familial tug as so many of us others do.
