There is only tonight
for you

You of the suffering
the alone
the heart to hold two

For tonight
this can only be
in the dimness of a shadow
and a frail light

for scant cold hours
only
will I feel again
and wake to a morn

without you

near or even in the thread
of my breathing
the pound of my thought

ocean of my loss
wide sea cruel

no less
than the tides
where I pushed all
the bliss of you

in unreachable deep

There is only tonight
safe darkness
to cover my cry

then I will forget

to carry on
as you
perhaps

or not

for you wouldn’t tell
secreter

understander of me
and
deep thinker

farewell

Kamla--this feels so alone but strong, like you are.

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.

I shall not use the word again as it will only make you feel more ...
Very nice poem you wrote there
A smile perhaps to add

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Kamla,
This really touched me deep inside.

You said:
ocean of my loss                             wide sea cruel

....meaning something bigger than our own imagination can contain. Nice job, there!

My friend, may you find peace within your decision, and I wish you the strength to follow your heart.
The sea is wide and cruel, but it also is capable of carrying the winds of friendship's love acros the distance. Welcome it, and it is yours to keep and to hold.

Oh Kamla...hugs for you.  This is so sad, and I can empathize.
