  What remained was you

She came to me from shadows
Where on the wall they dwell.
Danced across the floors meadow
From where the shadows fell.

The magic from down under,
Seemed to make them come alive.
And I stay in wonders wonder,
At the splendor and the drive.

Illusion took my hand in heart,
And I rose and danced with her
To the magic it impart,
In a shadow waltz of blur.

And scented myrrh came to bloom
Filled the room from sky to floor
And ecstasy did consume,
For my heart could fill no more.

And when the scene did dim from view,
The only thought remained, was you.

"For my heart could fill no more"...beautiful poem, Seymour...I feel as though my heart would burst, reading such a wonderful poem.

Always enjoy your work!

Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed.

Sir Tabin: What a nice view of something that is usually treated with dark intent. My compliments for a piece well done.

Sy,
I'm 'sighing' again....this is beautiful! And like Suthern and Martie, your last line touched my heart too..

A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire!

When the title of the poem drags a reader in,
and when the words drip from Sy's own pen,
never ask the whereof on the trip he takes you on,
only ask the Lord he ne'er lets Sy be gone.

Very nice the poem I read
almost a tear I shead
I do have a similar one
That as a shadow (so it's title)begun
I can relate so much to this
Poetry is sure bliss

Seymour-

This is extremely lovely.
I believe I smell the fragrance
of the scented myrrh in bloom.

Such romance from
such a romantic heart.
