Lonesome Road

Two hearts, brought together
by some unspeakable force
We go thru life, to love one another
Hand in hand we walk
Thru the good and bad

~*~*~*~*~*~

After all that we've shared
some things just don't quite work
We go our separate ways
To journey on the walk of life alone.

~*~*~*~*~*~

It's a lonely road we walk
Wanting that one love we had
Reaching out to the one we want,
but only reaching into space.

~*~*~*~*~*~

The empty space of love
How we long to fill it
but to only fill it with
more loneliness than ever.

~*~*~*~*~*~

We will walk this lonely road.
Searching, yearning the only
thing we desire.

~*~*~*~*~*~

To find the one thing that
means the most

~*~*~*~*~*~

Love

devina & dsnyder

Thank you for the reply, and the warm welcome to Passions

I wrote this after a experience in my life, so it came from the heart.

Once again, thank you for the warm welcome.

Hello, I really enjoyed your poem.  Especially the line, "searching, yearning, the only thing we desire".  Isn't it amazing how hard and long we look, only to have someone value that special something less than we do.  Welcome to passions!  I new as well and will look forward to more poems from you.

Welcome to the wonderful world of caring hearts for poured out feelings.  Love is the center of every life....the longing for, finding or loss of it.  Your writing paints the emptiness and desire in the search so well.
